On Sunday, August 17th, I photographed Brynn, a Central Dauphin High School senior from the Class of 2026. Brynn is an energetic, kind, and confident young woman who has accomplished so much already. She plays softball and will be continuing her athletic career at Eastern University (my own alma mater!) while studying nursing. This past spring, she won states with her softball team during her junior year so of course this was an achievement she was so excited to celebrate during her senior session.

Unlike most of my sessions, Brynn’s took place midday, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. She had evening plans, so we shifted away from the usual golden hour timing. The bright, sunny light actually turned out beautifully and gave her photos a vibrant, summery feel.

Brynn's sessions occurred at two Lancaster, PA locations: Overlook Park and Longs Park. Along with two locations, she also had a variety of outfits so we got lots of different looks during our session.

At Overlook Park, she started in a long, flowing strapless blue dress that popped perfectly against the greenery. She then changed into jeans and a black bodysuit, which she paired with her softball jersey and her states medal. Those photos felt especially meaningful since softball has been such a big part of her high school career.

We then drove to Longs Park, where Brynn wore jeans with a floral green blouse. She specifically requested photos sitting on the rocks near the pond. The water provided a beautiful background for photos. To finish out her session, she switched into a classic white dress and added in a bouquet of daisies she had brought along. The flowers were such a sweet, personal touch and paired beautifully with the elegance of her outfit.

At the start of the session, Brynn told me she wasn’t sure how to pose and was a little worried about what to do in front of the camera. But with just a bit of guidance, she quickly relaxed and began exploring poses on her own, which made her confidence shine.

When I asked Brynn afterward about her experience and if she had an nerves or worries leading up to the session, she said:
“I didn’t have many nerves, I just wasn’t sure how to pose. Yes, thank you for the posing guidance!”

And when asked if she would recommend KarisaAnn Photography to other seniors, she responded:
“Yes I would recommend! Advice I would give is to just have fun during your session because it’s a one-time thing.”

Brynn, thank you so much for trusting me with your senior pictures. I loved getting to celebrate your accomplishments, your style, and your bright personality. I can’t wait to see all that you do at Eastern University, both in softball and nursing!
