Country Joy Flowers: What’s New for the 2026 Season

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that Country Joy Flowers is one of my absolute favorite locations for senior pictures in Elizabethtown, PA. It’s full of flowers, colorful, and always feels a little bit magical. As a Lancaster PA senior photographer, I love offering locations that feel joyful and unique to each and every one of my seniors. Country Joy is one of those places.

With the 2026 season approaching, Country Joy Flowers has made several exciting changes for this year. This post will walk you through what’s new, how it’s different from past years, and what to expect if you’re considering Country Joy Flowers for your Elizabethtown PA senior pictures.

What’s Changing for the 2026 Season

Here’s a quick TLDR of the biggest changes at Country Joy Flowers for 2026:

The flower field location has moved.

The eucalyptus hoop barn will no longer be available. Instead, the field will feature beautiful rows of eucalyptus.

Reservations are no longer required to photograph at the field.

New Flower Field Location in Elizabethtown, PA

For this year, Country Joy Flowers has added an entirely new u-pick flower and photography field. This new field is located about a quarter mile west of the original Country Joy Flowers property in Elizabethtown, PA, making it an easy and beautiful option for seniors coming from Elizabethtown and surrounding Lancaster County areas.

This new location also offers more on-site parking and a port-a-potty available for use, which makes session days a little more convenient for everyone. Plus I always bring a pop-up changing tent to allow for privacy during outfit changes.

Because this is a brand new field, it’s important to know that it will look different from past Country Joy senior picture sessions you may have seen on my website or Instagram. While the overall feel will still be colorful and joyful, expect fresh layouts, new perspectives, and an updated look that reflects this new space. One big change is there is no longer the eucalyptus hoop barn, but rather rows of eucalyptus planted along the field. The background will also be different but the foreground will still be full of flowers. The vintage truck however is planned on being moved to the new location as well as some trellised arches so these will still be available for photos.

No Reservations Required and More Scheduling Flexibility

One of the biggest updates this year is that reservations are no longer required to photograph at Country Joy Flowers. Photographers may use the field any time of day.

While this opens up more scheduling options, it also means the field may be more crowded than in the past. As a Lancaster PA senior photographer, I typically recommend scheduling senior picture sessions after u-pick flower times whenever possible. This helps limit the number of people in the background and allows us to make the most of the space for your Elizabethtown PA senior pictures. As a bonus, this timing usually gives us beautiful golden hour light as the sun sets.

Monday through Saturday

Closed on Sundays

This added flexibility makes planning your senior photography session much easier.

2026 Flower Season Timeline

The estimated flower season for Country Joy Flowers in 2026 is expected to begin around July 6th and continue through sometime in October, depending on weather and bloom conditions.

This makes Country Joy Flowers a great option for summer and fall senior pictures in Elizabethtown, PA, especially for seniors who want flowers, warm light, and a seasonal feel in their senior pictures.

Rental Fees for 2026

To use the Country Joy Flowers field for senior pictures and portrait sessions, the rental fees for the 2026 season are:

$30 for 30 minutes

$50 for 60 minutes

These fees are owed to Country Joy Flowers and are separate from your senior photography session investment. Country Joy accepts credit card through their online store, venmo, or paypal for payments with a QR code available on location for easy reference. Payment is due before leaving the field after your session.

A Special Bonus for My Class of 2027 Seniors

Because this field is brand new, I’ll be updating my location guide photos for Country Joy Flowers during the class of 2027 senior season. As a thank-you, the first two Class of 2027 seniors who book a session at Country Joy Flowers will receive two additional edited images added to their final gallery, a $50 value at no additional cost.
