For me, there is something incredibly special about senior sessions that are personal. These sessions go beyond senior year and tell a story about who someone truly is and what is important to them. For some seniors, that means incorporating sports, musical instruments, theater, or other activities that have shaped their high school years. For Keira, it meant including the horses she loves.

You might recognize Keira as I did senior pictures for back in August 2025. With that session, we chose the more traditional senior picture session and focused on wanting to be in a flower field with a glowing sunset. At this session, her mom and I discussed doing one more session before senior year ended that showcases something near and dear to Keira.

For this last session before graduation, Keira wanted to include one of the biggest parts of her life: her horses. From the moment we started photographing with the horses, you could see how important they are in her life. There was a confidence and connection that naturally came through in every image. These are the kinds of sessions I love most as they feel extra feel personal and meaningful.

After a week of rain straight, and rain in the morning, the overcast sky provided a moody feel that worked beautifully with the the peaceful farm setting and the bond Keira shares with her horses. It created such a beautiful atmosphere for her photos. She wore a beautiful blue maxi dress and white cowboy boots that combined well with the horses and sky. Every part of the session reflected who she is and what has shaped her during these childhood and high school years.

While Keira booked two separate session during her senior year, I do offer subscription packages for seniors. My senior subscription packages allow seniors to tell more than one story as they provide a bundled package of 2, 3, or 4 sessions to be used throughout senior year. As senior year is made up of so many moments, interests, milestones, trying to fit all of that into one single session can feel limiting. Multiple sessions throughout the year allow seniors to have the freedom to celebrate different parts of who they are and what is important to them.

For Keira, that meant being able to document both her traditional senior pictures and this session with the horses she loves before stepping into her next chapter. This fall, Keira will be attending Kutztown University, and I could not be more excited for her. It has been such an honor getting to capture these memories throughout her senior year and watch this exciting transition unfold.

Keira, thank you for trusting me to photograph such an important season of your life. Your sessions have been so much fun, and this final session felt like the perfect ending to an incredible senior year.
