Connor, a Class of 2026 senior at Middletown Area High School, met up with me at the end of August to capture senior pictures that felt relaxed and natural. We met at Overlook Park in Lancaster, PA, where the tall trees, pond, and surrounding areas set the perfect backdrop for an easygoing evening.

When we first started the sessio, Connor admitted he wasn’t sure about posing, but with a little guidance and encouragement from both myself and his mom, Heather, he settled in quickly. Before long, his personality started to shine as we chatted about his plans for a welding apprenticeship, his love of naps, and how he’s in no rush to grow up. I loved hearing that. It's common to be eager to race toward adulthood, and it was refreshing to hear from a current senior that is savoring the fun of being a kid just a little longer.

Connor kept things simple with a crisp white T-shirt and khaki pants, which popped beautifully against the greens of the park. He especially loved the tall trees, so we made sure to feature them in several shots. We also took a few family photos as we were joined by his parents and sister at the session. This added a sweet way to remember this season for everyone.

The weather couldn’t have been better: warm, golden light with dramatic storm clouds rolling in just before sunset. We wrapped up right on time; fifteen minutes after we finished the session, the skies opened up with rain.
