I am so excited to officially introduce Jamie as a member of my Class of 2027 Senior Rep Program!

Jamie is a senior at Conestoga Valley High School. Jamie and I actually first met back in May when I had the opportunity to photograph her prom pictures. I loved getting to meet her then and was thrilled when she decided to join my senior rep program.

For her senior rep session, we met at Long's Park in Lancaster County in mid-June. The weather had us on our toes as it started raining about 20 minutes before our session was scheduled to start, but thankfully the rain stopped just in time for us to create some beautiful images together.

One of the things that immediately stands out about Jamie is her positive outlook on life. She describes herself as an upbeat and optimistic person who believes in the power of positivity, even when facing challenges. That mindset has helped shape who she is both inside and outside the classroom.

At Conestoga Valley, Jamie stays incredibly involved. She is a member of the Women's Leadership Alliance (WLA), Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), National Honor Society (NHS), Science National Honor Society (SNHS), and Link Crew. In addition to her school activities, she volunteers twice each month at the Lancaster Science Factory and works part-time at Rita's. Academically, Jamie is committed to excellence and maintains a high GPA while challenging herself with advanced coursework. During her junior year, she took dual enrollment classes through Millersville University and plans to continue taking classes there throughout her senior year.

After high school, Jamie hopes to attend Millersville University before pursuing medical school with the goal of becoming a surgical pathologist. Since the age of four, Jamie has been living with both Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac Disease. These experiences have taught her resilience, perseverance, and empathy for others, qualities that will undoubtedly serve her well in her future career.

Originally from New York City, Jamie moved to Lancaster three years ago. Her family had loved the Lancaster area already and since NYC doesn't place students in a specific high school based off of the school district, they figured before her freshman year was the right time to move.

I am so excited to have Jamie as part of this year's senior rep team and cannot wait to see all that she accomplishes during her senior year and beyond. Her determination, positivity, and heart for helping others make her an incredible representative for the Class of 2027. Jamie, thank you for being my Class of 2027 senior rep spokesmodel. I can't wait for all of the fun sessions and memories ahead!
